About
A founder between places, disciplines, and ways of seeing.
I grew up in Egypt and now work between the US and Egypt. The distance is part of the perspective: it keeps me curious about which ideas travel, and which need to be rebuilt locally.
The short version
I co-founded Proteinea to work on a question that feels both technical and human: how can we design antibodies that do more than recognize a target — that help direct the immune response?
My work sits at the intersection of biology, company-building, and translation. Computational biology is a method I use, not the identity of the work.
My partner in building Proteinea is CTO Abdulaziz Elgammal. Together with a distributed team in Cairo, Boston/Newton, and Munich, we are building a TechBio company around Fc-engineered antibodies and immune instruction.
“Why” and “who pharma becomes” are useful questions I’m still working out in public.
Draft language — not a finished company position.
